One of the chief missing features in Windows Phone 7 platform is the lack of any sort of file explorer. Fortunately, the Windows Phone’s developer community is brimming with talented folks that have brought this missing utility to the new operating system.
Here is how to install it on your Windows Phone.
First, you will first need to unlock your windows phone. Then download the XAP file (think them as application installer for WP7 platform) of Touchxplorer, a file explorer for WP7 from the link given at the bottom of this post.
Then, install the XAP file into your Windows Phone using the WP7 XAP installer tutorial.
Note: The developer says that the app is meant only for hTC Windows Phone since it makes use of HTC’s COM library which is obviously absent in non-hTC devices.
